A total of 63 sailors participated in the Cork Sailboats October Laser Frostbite League, which concluded this Sunday in cold and blustery conditions. During the series, Royal Cork sailors were joined by sailors from Kinsale, Cobh, Monkstown, Glandore and Tralee.

The warning signal for laser racing in November is being brought back to 1200.  In order to make the start on time, all sailors should be rigged and ready for launch by 1100.  Weather permitting – three races will be run each Sunday.  The notice of race is amended accordingly.…

October League Prize Giving

The October League Prize Giving will be held in conjunction with the November League Prize Giving on Sunday 28th November. We will be organising a sailing supper for 4.00pm with the prize giving immediately after. We look forward to seeing all of the sailors taking part in racing at this evening. Further details later.

November Training

With the days getting shorter we are changing the coaching format for November. Two full days of coaching are now organised for Saturday 6th and Saturday 27th November instead of the Sunday coaching to date. The Committee will continue to run Sunday coaching before racing for the rest of October at a cost of €15 a day.  Coaching from this Sunday 10th October will start at 10.00 with launching at 10.30 sharp in order to clear the slip ahead of the optimist fleet.

Two additional Clinics have now been organised when George will be joined by Thomas Chaix as follows:

16th October  Cost of €30 for one full day

23rd & 25th October (Bank Holiday) Cost €30 for each day.

This is in addition to the regular Sunday coaching.  Sailors are asked to be rigged and ready for 10.00 and the day will finish with a debrief at 17.00.
