Fifteen boats converged from all corners of the country for the 420 End of Seasons last weekend on Lough Derg.

The 420 Open Day will now take place on Sunday September 25 starting at 12 noon. In order to help the organisation please register your interest by clicking on this link, even if you were originally registered for the event that had to be postponed due to the weather last weekend.

Tomorrows (Sunday) open day has been postponed due to the extreme forecast. A new date will be advertised early next week.

  The Royal Cork 420 class in conjunction with Tom Mappleback will host an open day on Sunday September 11th at 12 noon. The 420 Munster Championship was won today by sisters Laura and Louise  McCarthy of the Royal  Cork. Laura and Louise gybing in one of Saturdays Races (Photo:Bob Bateman – more in gallery) Held over Saturday and Sunday in warm but light conditions the result was always going to be tight and great racing was had by all competitors under the watchful eye of Race Officer David O’ Brien.

The 420 Munster Championship will be held in the club on July 9th and 10th Entries will be taken on the day – however it would be appreciated if entrants would advise in advance by email to 420@royalcork.com  Notice of Race
